Work History

Recordist / Mixerguy – The Player’s Lounge – Seattle, WA – 2/14 – present Recording and mixing of live music sessions; Over 100 hours of mixed material including videos with multitrack capture and mixdown. I mixed, mastered, played keys and drums, and helped with system design, and care of the space and equipment. Trained others in in ear monitoring, software upgrades, mixing and live sound.

Independent Sound Producer & Engineer – Mixerguy – Seattle, WA – 09/06 – present

Owner/Operator for independent music production business; recorded, mixed & mastered numerous independent bands, acts and projects; in home studio set-up; remote & live recordings; and DJ for special events. Sound Engineer – The Triple Door – Seattle, WA – 08/08 – present

Sound engineer for concerts by a wide variety of artists covering many genres, as well as corporate functions, spoken word, comedy, burlesque, live radio broadcasts and live DVD captures; highly knowledgeable of PM1D digital console with wireless control; Front of House and monitor mixing and live recording, often all done simultaneously. Made both stereo and multitrack recordings, including many live shows for KEXP. Some of the acts I worked with include: ​El Vez, Dr. Dog, Yardbirds, Shelby Earl, Kris Orlowski, Earlimart, Vieux Farka Toure, Bill Frisell, Greg Brown, Smokey Brights, Andrew Joslyn. Etc.

Trade show demos, artist support, product development, including software testing. Skype training of users of the products and did You Tuber videos demoing the features of the products.

Sound Engineer & Sound Designer – Teatro Zinzanni – Seattle, WA – 9/02 –8/08
International dinner theatre production, combining music, comedy and Cirque acts in an antique Belgian Speigeltent; created a high level of sound mix quality in a challenging environment, which included mixed dialogue, live music, sound effects and unique audio inventions; composed atmospheres, ambiences, special audio effects and complex cues; created a show library; upgraded system and managed gear; helped install a Yamaha M7CL digital console in 2008, and re-tuned house system for the new console; worked over 1000 shows in 6 years with musical artists such as Martha Davis (of the Motels), Thelma Houston, Francine Reed, Maria Muldahr, El Vez, Duffy Bishop and many others.

Podcast Producer – “Puffcast”– Seattle, WA – 2004–2006 puffcast.com

Produced the world’s first independent reggae and dub podcast, with at peak over 30k subscribers, and over 40 episodes produced. Music editing for weekly show, scoring and unique music beds were produced, and artists were coordinated with worldwide.

FOH Mixer – BumberShoot Music and Arts Festival – Seattle, WA – 2002-2005
Worked as the main front of house mixer for the Bumbrella stage, one of the main stages, mixing acts such as Eek-a-Mouse, Bernie Worrell, Reggie Watts, Dub Championz, Clinton Fearon, Michael Shrieve, Lee Oskar and other world music artists. Increased knowledge of world music, reggae and dub, and the unique audio challenges associated with multi-band festivals​.

Stage/Equipment Manager – CAKE – Columbia Recording Artist– 9/01–9/02

Worked as the stage and equipment manager for the major label band, CAKE. Traveled the US and Canada, managing stage set-up, equipment, instruments and technical needs in a variety of venues. Worked the

“Unlimited Sunshine Tour” 2002, which also included Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Kinky, De La Soul and The Hackinsaw Boys. Increased knowledge of the mainstream music business, major concert production and touring logistics

Worked in marketing for a pro audio technology start-up company specializing in Audio Firewire (IEEE1394) technologies. Demonstrated products at NAMM 2001, helped design audio software, quality control tested prototypes, helped design audio set-ups and managed contacts in the Pro Audio Industry.

Macintosh Computer, Internet &Web design consulting business, including marketing, computer and web training; networking, Internet connectivity, sales, phone support; and small business operations. Established the Mount Shasta Home Page in 1995 (www.mtshasta.com), a tourism based community website in Mt. Shasta, CA, which still operates today.
